DESCRIPTION:This course examines the realities of trauma exposure for law enforcement personnel in the United States and discusses the short and long term impacts that trauma can have on an officer’s physical and mental wellbeing.  It further explores research surrounding effective coping skills that are successful at minimizing the negative impact trauma can have on individuals and finally focuses on the importance of building resilience and how to effectively do so.
